What does an Earthly education look like?
Earthly brings the lessons of the forest to your unique family. We work one one-on-one with families and design curricula based on each child's needs. If you have neighboring families, we also create small group sessions to foster community and well-being at home. We start with a 6-week program to get to know families and have the option to expand.
Our time to get starts off with seasonal greetings and movement. Next, we step into our project. Earthly follows an in-breath, out-breath schedule, letting children absorb and integrate. The first sessions will be close to home, and as we get to know your child(ren), we will explore the local forests, nature preserves, and groups.
We inspire families to look different at what is around them. Lessons will be tailored to each student’s age, interests, and abilities. Learning topics such as Native Ecology, Botanical Drawing, Weaving, Wild Crafting, Clay, Song, Journal Making, Story Writing, Animal Tracking, Foraging, Movement Practices, and Emotional Naming.

The Earthly Journey
Outdoor education prepares children for a holistic view of the world. Including the readiness to engage in comfortable social spaces, handle conflict, complexly solve problems, and move through stressful situations. Children will be encouraged to go outside of their comfort zones to climb, smell, or build structures that will expand their perspective of what is possible while growing their personal abilities of motor skills.
Each 6-week program will incorporate a creative project suited to your child(ren)’s specific interests and developmental stage. They will likely bring this into the home, encouraging the whole family to look differently at the outdoors.
